Introduction

The EDR-G9010 Series is a set ofhighly integrated industrial multi-port secure routers with firewall/NAT/VPNand managed Layer 2 switch functions. These devices are designedfor Ethernet-based security applications in critical remote controlor monitoring networks. These secure routers provide an electronicsecurity perimeter to protect critical cyber assets including substationsin power applications, pump-and-treat systems in water stations, distributedcontrol systems in oil and gas applications, and PLC/SCADA systemsin factory automation. Furthermore, with the addition of IDS/IPS,the EDR-G9010 Series is an industrial next-generation firewall, equippedwith threat detection and prevention capabilities to further protectcritical infrastructure from cybersecurity attacks.

IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 Certified

The EDR-G9010 Series models are IEC 62443-4-2 SecurityLevel 2 certified (https://certificates.iecee.org/#/deliverables/CERT/1667679/view). The embedded firewall uses policy rules to control network trafficbetween trusted zones while Network Address Translation (NAT) shieldsthe internal network from unauthorized access by outside hosts. TheVirtual Private Networking (VPN) functionality further provides userswith secure communication tunnels when accessing the private networkfrom the public Internet. To help protect your OT assets from cyberattacks,the EDR-G9010 Series supports Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) to examinethe data portion of network packets for various OTspecific protocols.
